About the Gallery
Alford Art Gallery opened its doors in August 2021 to become another jewel in the crown of Alford’s creative community. The space is large, airy and flooded with light.
It is a community gallery, staffed by passionate volunteers and exhibiting artists.
We encourage all artists, emerging or experienced, in all mediums, from painting to sculpture, ceramics to textiles, to submit their work to us, so that the best of our local artists have a place for their art.
We are inclusive, celebrate diversity and appreciate the therapeutic values of creativity for an anxious mind.
With this in mind we have decided to hold our first summer open exhibition and would love all artists in Lincolnshire to submit an application to exhibit their work.
We welcome all levels of experience, any age group and art in any medium.
How to enter
Entries are open to all artists in Lincolnshire.
We welcome photographers, painters, sculptors, woodworkers, mixed media, ceramicists, textile and printmaker artists.
You can be a new emerging artist or an experienced professional artist, all are welcome to apply.
Entries should be made online before 14th May 2022. There is a £5 non-refundable charge for each artwork submitted, with a limit of 2 artworks at £10.

Provide details with each artwork including description, size (framed and unframed), medium or material and price.
The gallery will take 30% commission for any sale, so bear that in mind when pricing your work.
Fees are payable via BACS (bank transfer) to ALFORD CRAFT MARKET - ALFORD ARTS 93022358 20-52-78. Please use your name as a reference. All entry fees are non-refundable.
If you struggle to use the internet then arrangements can be made for you to drop off your artwork to the gallery for submission, with your fee. Call 07707 921168 to arrange this.
Applications must be made before May 14th 2022.
The selection panel of artists (from varying backgrounds in various mediums) will make their decisions by 22nd May 2022 and all applicants will be notified thereonafter.
We won’t be able to give feedback on unsuccessful entries.
Successful applicants will need to deliver their work between 24th and 29th May 2022.
If your work is to be hung, it must be stringed to hang and clearly priced.
Sculptures, ceramics and fragile work must be well wrapped and clearly labelled.
The exhibition will be launched with a private preview on June 3rd 2022 and will end on June 30th 2022.
Unsold work will need to be collected by 3rd July 2022.
There will be a selectors prize of £100 along with an opportunity to have a dedicated exhibition space in the gallery throughout July.

Please note that artwork in transit will have to be insured by the artist.
